“No One Has Ever Become Poor by Giving”

God Loves a Cheerful Giver

How amazing that within 24 hours of posting my story about Joy yesterday, it has been read by many people living in countries around the world. This shows that a single voice can be heard when delivering a message to others in need.

Regardless of the language we speak, the color of our skin or the religion we choose to follow, we all want the same things in life, and none of them cost anything at all. Imagine, something free at this time of the year?

We want joy in our lives, which includes accepting our circumstances and not blaming others. We want to face both the evil and good in people and love them anyway. We want to be compassionate to everyone, even those we will never meet. We want to help people who are struggling and in need, regardless of our financial conditions. We want to be open to change and different opinions, not just believing our thoughts and fallacies which may be wrong. We need to give thanks for the joy and blessings in our lives every single day.

Each of us have a finite amount of time on earth. We need to start today by sharing our blessings with others. “No one has ever become poor by giving” (Anne Frank), my new favorite saying that you will see much more of!

cheerful-giverThis is the season for peace, joy and fellowship with family and friends, but also everyone on this earth. Give thanks to the person standing out in the cold jingling their bells in front of the red Salvation Army bucket. I always say thank you, but often get a few steps away before going back with a few meager dollars that I will never miss. Sponsor a child in your neighborhood or at church or and across the world. Shovel the sidewalk of the widowed senior that lives next door. Invite someone into your home for a holiday meal. Do something to bless someone else’s life. When you reach out to help, the joy is returned to you many times over. God loves a cheerful giver.
